Brafa 2025

Galerie Hadjer participated brilliantly in the 70th edition of BRAFA in 2025, showcasing an exceptional selection of tapestries by the great masters of the 20th century. Among the artists featured were Joan Miró, Le Corbusier, Alexander Calder, Fernand Léger, Victor Vasarely and André Lanskoy, each recognized for their significant contribution to modern art.

Particular emphasis was placed on the discovery of the 1957 tapestry “La Femme et le Moineau” (The Woman and the Sparrow), designed by Le Corbusier. This remarkable work, from the prestigious Presidential Palace in Abidjan, illustrates the harmonious encounter between modern art and the age-old expertise of the Aubusson workshops.

Le Corbusier, mainly known for his contributions to modern architecture, also ventured into the field of decorative arts, particularly tapestry. Through his textile works, he sought to create a dialogue between space, color and form. “La Femme et le Moineau” embodies this philosophy, offering a composition that harmoniously combines abstraction and symbolism.

Galerie Hadjer’s participation in BRAFA 2025 not only showcased iconic works, but also emphasized the importance of tapestry in the dialogue between tradition and modernity. This exhibition offered visitors a unique opportunity to appreciate the richness and diversity of this textile art, while celebrating the cultural and artistic heritage of the 20th century.
