Beginning in the 1930s, a wide range of leading artists

Beginning in the 1930s, a wide range of leading artists, including :
Le Corbusier, Fernand Leger, Joan Miro, Pablo Picasso, Jean Lurçat, Raoul Dufy, Sonia Delaunay, Alexander Calder, Henry Matisse… among others, had comissioned Cuttoli workshop to create tapestries & rugs.

With this venture, Cuttoli contributed to one of the central concerns of art production at the time “mural decoration”.
At the heart of artists’ fascination with the concept of the mural, in wich art overtakes the wall, was its ability to shape environments.
